Step One Cleaning Process

Walk-Through Before The Cleaning Process Begins

Upon arrival and before the cleaning process begins, our technician will walk with the customer through the areas to be cleaned, pointing out areas of concern (i.e., heavy traffic wear, discolored spots and what caused them, pet stains, etc.) in order to give the customer an accurate estimate as to the effectiveness of the cleaning.  This will always be done before the technician begins cleaning process begins to help ensure customer satisfaction.

Step Two Cleaning Process

Spot-Treatment & Pre-Spray

After surveying the areas to be cleaned, our technician will then apply a variety of professional spot-treatment products to affected areas based on the origin of the stains.  A powerful pre-spray will then be applied to the areas as a whole and then raked into the carpet during the cleaning process to maximize the loosening of soil, stain and carpet wear prior to cleaning.  Our technician will then allow the pre-spray to dwell for a period of time based upon the amount of soiling.

Step Three Cleaning Process

Hot-Water Extraction (Steam Cleaning)

After pre-treatment, our technician will then use our hot water (steam) extraction system to clean the carpet and/or upholstery.  Our van-mounted, cutting-edge Panther™ steam cleaning process system uses over 20 horsepower to create 230° steam and powerful suction.  The steam blasts free the soil and staining, as well as allergens, dust mites, animal dander, etc.  the powerful suction then extracts these pollutants (including our pre-spray chemical) as well as over 90% of the water used, leaving your carpet and/or upholstery fresh and clean and only slightly damp.  Typical drying time is usually no more than 3-4 hours.

Step Four Cleaning Process

Post-Clean Walk-Through

Once the cleaning process is complete, our technician will then walk the customer through the cleaned areas, encouraging them to inspect the finished product, and answering any questions or concerns they may have.  At “Pro” we consider this step to be the most important, because customer satisfaction is our highest priority.

Step Five Cleaning Process

Application of Additional Products

Once the customer is satisfied with the cleaning process, our technician will then apply any additional products the customer requests:

  • Scotchgard®:    This highly effective product adheres to the fibers of your carpet and upholstery, providing a protective barrier that blocks soil and stains, making cleaning more effective and greatly extending the life of the fabric.
  • Odor Eliminator Deodorizer:   Although our cleaning process leaves your carpet and upholstery with a fresh, clean scent, there are times when an extra deodorizer may be necessary. (e.g., pet stains)  This very effective product contains an active enzyme that digests odor-causing bacteria and leaves the area smelling fresh and clean.
  • Anti-Resoiling Agent (ARA):    When large stains due to spills or urine are present in the carpet, the surface may clean, but some liquid may remain in the pad, causing it to “wick” back up over time.  Application of ARA can effectively draw this staining out, crystallizing it on the surface, where it is easily vacuumed.
  • Lysol/Microban:  For carpeting and upholstery that has had excessive exposure to moisture due to flooding, or a damp climate, Lysol/Microban is an excellent anti-microbial that will prevent mold and mildew from returning after the cleaning process has removed it.
